Why We Don't Do Business Cards

We don't do business cards on the Duchess.

It's a rule I made up early on and it's held up better than most rules I've made up.

Networking events are a transaction dressed up as a relationship. You collect a stack of cards, half of which you'll never look at again, and call it building your network.

This is the opposite of that. It's slower, it can look less efficient, but the result holds up better.
